it’s THAT EASY!!! nobody is forcing you to partake in a thing that you don’t like! tumblr savior exists! so do things outside of tumblr! just because you see it a lot doesn’t mean you should insult it!
don’t insult the taste level and/or intellect of people who do like it, because I promise they have their reasons
don’t insult the person/people behind the thing as if they are horrible terrible people who are obviously part of some kind of conspiracy to RUIN YOUR DAY!!!!!
because oh hey wowie, most of the time this particular brand of shit gets slung around, it’s being aimed at POPULAR ARTISTS, and true story: no matter how popular a person is, that does not exclude them from having feelings which are hurt by people needlessly talking shit about them.
i especially hate this attitude when it’s directed at people who Do Art For Fun, because wowie there are some people who draw for reasons other than becoming a Serious Artist! just because you put a thing on the internet doesn’t mean you’re automatically inviting criticism! there are people who are comfortable with not being The Awesomest at their hobby and that is just fine and dandy.
find something that you DO like and invest your passion in enjoying it rather than being butthurt about how other people like things
i promise it will be more fulfilling
